What city do you live in?
Norfolk
What kind of maker are you? (Include sewing and any other mediums you work in)
I like to make all sorts of things- quilts, pots, and drawings, sculptures big and small, gardens, and most recently a very weird looking shirt and 6 pairs of pants.

How long have you been sewing/quilting?
I have been sewing in some form since I was a child. The supplies were always around and so we would make puppets and costumes and clothes for toys. I became more interest in quilting after college. My obsession with pants is fairly recent.
How many quilts have you made?
I think seven are complete and have been gifted. Two of the seven were completed as collaborations. The first, a representation of city to country, was created in collaboration with Cassie [Rangel] for our friend’s first child. The most recent was created by my older sister and me for our younger sister and her husband to celebrate their wedding and marriage.
What (and/or who) got you into sewing?
My grandmother had her own drapery business in Pittsburgh. I spent weeks in summer with her and as she worked I would run a magnet over the floor picking up pins. I found it amazing that she could make anything she could think of. I wanted to be able to do the same. In contrast to her draperies that were quite “fancy”, she would pull simple patterned quilts out of her cupboards for us to wrap up in and build forts with. The colors were bold. The shapes big. I loved these. I’m so happy to still have two of these. In thinking of quilting for myself, I go towards bold simple patterns and colors.

If you could describe your style in three words, what would they be?
Not perfect, pretty good
[Editor’s note: we’ll allow four]
What is one goal you have for sewing/quilting?
I would like to make a quilt for husband.
Where can people find you and your work? Website? Socials?
