We want you to have the chance to meet our members, starting with our Board.

Elizabeth is our guild’s secretary. She brings a background in being a secretary–past and present–for organizations like her school’s PTA and ___. Her quilts are full of heart and meaningful details, and girl is crazy about florals.

“My goal for our guild is to continue community outreach efforts in meaningful ways that allow us to share our quilts with those who can most benefit from a handmade symbol of love and acceptance.”

What kind of maker are you? (Include sewing and any other mediums you work in)

I love to quilt, cross stitch, and dabble in watercolor painting when the time allows. I’ve always enjoyed trying new forms of creating and love slab pottery, as well.

How long have you been sewing/quilting?

I learned to quilt when I was 16 and have been sewing ever since.

How many quilts have you made?

I’ve made many baby quilts, one of my favorites gifts, and around 10 throw size or larger quilts over the years.

What (and/or who) got you into sewing?

My grandmother first introduced me to quilting. We spent a weekend together learning and sewing my first quilt top.

If you could describe your style in three words, what would they be?

Floral, loving, Intentional

What is one goal you have for sewing/quilting?

I love to gift quilts to those dear to my heart, and I hope they tell a story of my love for the recipient. Many of my quilts use fabric remnants from other projects, and it’s special for me to see old scraps added to new pieces. My goal is for my quilts to bring comfort and beauty, so I hope they are used often.

Bonus Board Member Question: what is one goal you have for our guild?

I’m so excited to see our guild grow, and I love that we’re building a quilting community that’s safe and welcoming to all.  My goal for our guild is to continue community outreach efforts in meaningful ways that allow us to share our quilts with those who can most benefit from a handmade symbol of love and acceptance.
