Welcome to Hampton Roads Modern Quilt Guild!
We’re so glad you’re here. Whether you are new to sewing or have been doing it for decades, we look forward to welcoming you to our community of quilters. Hampton Roads Modern Quilt Guild (or HRMQG) is, as you might have guessed from our name, a group of modern quilters in the Hampton Roads area. Embracing modernism in both our quilting and in our ethos, we are pleased to offer a place to grow your modern quilting practice.
Speaking of growing: HRMQG is a brand new guild, less than a year old. We are looking for new quilty friends, fresh energy, and ideas to help our guild continue to grow. If you’ve been craving people to show your quilts to, ask questions of, or nerd out about fabric with, you’ve come to the right place.
The Modern Quilt Guild, an international organization dedicated to modern quilting and community, seeks to foster a vibrant and inclusive organization built on encouragement and mutual respect, where all feel welcome. Our goal is to take up that same mission.
Upcoming Meetings
Our next meeting is March 22 from 10am-12pm at Jordan-Newby Library.
Starting in April, meetings will be held the 3rd Saturday of each month, from 10am-12pm at Jordan-Newby Library.
Jordan-Newby Library is located at 1425 Norchester Avenue in Norfolk.
